Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why do I need a webpage?
Most people don't actually need one. However, if you own a business, or belong to or have a social organization (ie: fan club, hobby club, etc) then a webpage is certainly a good way to get your product on the market or to let other people know you have something in common with them.
What if I have a webpage, but I need to give it a 'facelift'?
That's not a problem. One of the services we provide to existing webpages is to give them a 'facelift'. If you've never done one before and tried using one of the free webhosting services (Angelfire, Fortune City, Geocities, etc.), you can usually utilize their 'web wizard' to help you build one... but you soon realize that service often doesn't let you be creative.
Where do you store the webpages... do you webhost?
Usually you're alotted about 5MB of space on your internet provider (a good size for small groups and/or businesses), usually the URL (address) is something like: www.yourisp.com/~youruserid. For more webspace and freedom, you can have it hosted on a number of servers. The one I recomend and use for clients is Web Wizards.
Do you offer Domain Name registrations?
GoDaddy is the company that sets up the domain name and hosting for my clients. For Canadian clients who require a .ca extension I use Dot Canada.
What if my club needs more than one website, will you give us a deal on your services?
Yes. If I get numerous requests to do a webpage from the same group, I will offer my services at a discounted price. The exception is a domain registration and hosting.
